-It's getting cold in Benson! Remember that as long as your horse has some kind of shelter and adequate food (he will need more in the cold weather), most horses can live comfortably without a blanket. If your horse seems bothered by the cold (shivering or very stiff in his movement), a blanket may be necessary to keep them comfortable. Young and older horses are more susceptible to the cold weather, so watch when the temperature gets below 40.
